ABOUT REASONABLY ILL
The Story Behind the Name
Reasonably ILL is a creation of Robert McFarland, better known to the public as rapper Ski.
Inspired by two of my favorite hip-hop debut albums—Nas’ Illmatic and JAY-Z’s Reasonable Doubt— I brought the two ideas together to create the name Reasonably ILL.
But the name became much more than a combination of two classic albums.
Reasonably ILL is a mantra.
A personal challenge to prove that I’m the illest beyond any reasonable doubt.
What began in music naturally transitioned into fashion—a world I have always found myself drawn to. I always loved wearing statement pieces and allowing my outfits to speak for me.
No explanation. Let the clothes do the talking.
That love of fashion began in my childhood, influenced by my mother in Virginia Beach. It continued through working at a local skate shop, then working for streetwear conglomerate Urban Outfitters, and eventually landing an internship with T.I.’s AKOO brand.
Each experience added another layer.
Each environment taught me something different.
And together, they helped lead me toward my own lane in fashion.

Inspired by the greats, but determined to create something of my own.
Reasonably ILL is built around statement-making design, individuality, quality, and longevity.
The goal isn't simply to follow what's happening in streetwear.
It's to carve my own place in streetwear history—and build something that stands the test of time.
